Aerial filming, Cameras, Commissions, Editorial

Cloud base at 400ft and we can’t see a bloody thing.

Had an interesting flight on Sunday morning. I was commissioned by Nike to shoot some aerial stills and footage of the 10k London race. The weather was so dire we could not even lift, so we waited around for an extra half an hour and then set off into London. What normally takes 10 minutes took around 45 as we scooted very low level just underneath the cloud trying to pick our way into town. Eventually after four different routes we managed to get onto the Thames Estuary and then flew again through huge rain storms into London which was relatively clear with a cloud base of 800ft.

We got some nice aerial footage on the great Cineflex system, and I got a soaking getting some stills, the Nikon kit faired pretty well.
